Hi! My name is Stephen.
I'm a senior software engineer at Uber, where I work on building Uber's real-time logistics product: UberRUSH. UberRUSH brings people closer to the things they want by providing a turn-key delivery solution for businesses of every kind. I lead a small team focused on building out user-facing features to enable UberRUSH growth. That puts me in a position where I contribute to a wide range of frontend web apps and backend services.
Before joining Uber, I co-founded a company called Overhead.fm with a friend from Brown. Overhead.fm provides streaming background music for retail businesses, restaurants and other public spaces via a webapp and mobile apps. I worked on Overhead.fm full-time for a year after college before winding down my involvement so the company could focus its spend on sales and marketing.
As an engineer, I like working on products where I can have an impact. I'm a generalist, and I love learning new things. Recently, I've worked most with React and Node.js, though I have previous experience with Backbone, Python and Go.
Outside of work, you'll find me at a concert, or playing my guitar, or maybe skiing if the snow is good this year. I love travel, time with friends, and good coffee.
